In an interview with AARP magazine, the actor said: "I'm an 80-year-old father and he's great." De Niro has seemed happy and delighted to talk about her fatherhood: "Everything that consumes me or worries me, this or that, just disappears when I look at her."
Thus, the interpreter has made clear the love he feels for his little girl: "she has a very sweet way of looking at you and studying you." Regarding that look, he wanted to highlight that his daughter Helen "also had that."
"They just look at you and study you," commented the actor. To this he added: "I don't know how she will continue to evolve as she gets older, but she is thinking, looking at everything, observing." While he was saying these words, the actor shed a few tears of emotion.
