Scorsese Angry Response To Meghan Email As She Ask $2k Per Episode For Meet Me At The Lake

Megan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly faced disappointment as their Netflix documentary series failed to secure any Emmy Awards at the 2024 Emmy Awards ceremony held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Notably, the royal couple did not attend the event. The documentary, released in 2022, provided a controversial glimpse into their relationship with the royal family. Despite anticipation and Variety's previous predictions, the series did not even receive a nomination at the awards.

In response to this setback, sources claim that Megan is actively seeking an assistant director in Hollywood to enhance her production efforts for a new series, aiming to clinch an Emmy or Oscar in 2025.

However, the alleged attempt faced a hurdle when a prominent movie director was approached for the project. The renowned director, whose fee surpassed the movie's budget, found the offer humorous and dismissed any possibility of reducing his fee to collaborate with Megan. The attempted collaboration was linked to Megan's envisioned movie adaptation of the 2023 book "Meet Me at the Lake."

Commentators suggested that the director in question was possibly Martin Scorsese, who recently received the Best Director award at the National Board of Review Awards Gala. Given Scorsese's established reputation, there were doubts about his willingness to engage in a project that seemed incongruent with his typical body of work, especially considering Megan's association with the Hallmark movie genre.

Amidst these developments, concerns arise over the future of Harry and Megan's lucrative Netflix partnership. The couple initially signed a five-year, $100 million deal with the streaming giant, but reports indicate potential challenges in renewing the partnership.

Maya Ria, a PR expert, expressed views on Netflix's expectations, suggesting that the streaming platform knew partnering with Harry and Megan would not be devoid of controversy. Ria also speculated that the couple might feel they have little more to offer to Netflix as they aspire to reinvigorate their careers, potentially leading to a non-renewal of the partnership.
