Singer Camila Cabello made a surprising confession: she stole from Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Recently, the artist visited Kensington Palace to meet the finalists for the Teen Hero award, which honors teenagers who inspire others or make a difference in the United Kingdom. Before being introduced to the royal couple, she was challenged by BBC broadcaster Greg James to steal an object to commemorate her visit. She couldn't resist.
"We were about to meet William and Kate and I told him to steal something. I said 'steal that pencil,'" the radio host recalled. Camila Cabello couldn't believe that they were challenging her because she is not able to resist.
However, as soon as she kept the pencil she was betrayed. "You accused me of one of the palace workers, I couldn't believe it. I kept it in my mother's bag and she told me that I had to return it. I didn't accept it, it was a challenge and I had to keep the pencil," he commented. the singer to BBC Radio 1.
Proudly, she admitted that she still has it. Then she jokingly apologized to Prince William and Kate Middleton. "Forgive me, I really couldn't sleep last night. I had to confess," she said.
Shortly after Camila Cabello's confession, which was shared on BBC Radio's Twitter account, Kensington Palace responded to her in the same publication. A simple eyes emoji was enough to imply that they were aware of the missing object. William and Kate don't miss anything.
Last month, the singer joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to honor the finalists of the Teen Hero competition. She said she was honored to be invited to Kensington Palace to meet the young people as well as the dukes. "Hearing about the incredible things these teenage heroes have done is inspirational," she said.
