His loved ones said in the statement that "he died happy in his sleep," and his unforgettable companions in Rocky, Happy Gilmore or Predator, such as Sylvester Stallone or Anrold Schwarzenegger, said goodbye to him with some moving messages.

Now, 10 days after his death, they have revealed the official cause of death as The Blast has learned. Apparently, Weathers died inside his home in Venice, California, specifically at 12:18 a.m. on February 2.

Carl Weathers' last appearance on television

Before he died, Weathers filmed an ad, which will appear in the upcoming Super Bowl on February 11, for the sports betting company FanDuel.

US television will finally air the advert after speculation the family had asked it to be taken down. It was FanDuel's executive vice president of marketing, Andrew Sneyd, who confirmed that they received the blessing of his family.

However, he did reveal some changes: "Since the news of Carl's passing came, we've been working with the editors to help us get back to something that makes sense."

"We've been watching the edits through tears. We really enjoyed the little time we had to work with him. He's a wonderful man and he really is an inspiration and had a very positive view of the world. We want to make sure we try to approach this moment with the respect that we deserves," he said.
