Penélope Cruz has reflected on motherhood and the place where it was important for her to educate her children during an interview that she gave us on the occasion of the premiere of her new film, Ferrari.
Throughout her career there are many emblematic mothers that Penélope Cruz has embodied on the big screen such as the iconic Raimunda in Volver, Jacinta in Dolor y Gloria or Janis in Madres Paralelas.
Now, the Madrid actress returns to play another mother in her new film, Ferrari, where this time she steps into the shoes of Laura Garello, Enzo Ferrari's wife. For the role of Penelope, she had to do important research to give truth to this character who existed in real life.
Although, perhaps the most complicated thing was having to represent the pain that Laura suffered because she was marked by the premature death of her only son.
The actress gave us an interview where we were able to reflect with her on her motherhood. Thus, Cruz assures that the place where she was going to educate her children was very important to her.
Penélope Cruz is our most international actress and has been a big Hollywood star for many years, but the actress explains to us that "before becoming a mother" she considered where she would raise her children, whether in the United States or in Spain. "Almost always the place has been Spain," she says while commenting on how important her family is to her.
In 2010 Penélope Cruz married Javier Bardem. The couple became parents of their first child in 2011, a boy they named Leo who was born in Los Angeles. Shortly after, her daughter Luna came into the world in 2013, who was born in Madrid.
