The first-born of the kings of Spain witnessed a difficult moment.

Princess Leonor and the incident that marked her most special day

Princess Leonor has been the protagonist in the anniversary of the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, where 142 years have passed since its inauguration. During the celebration event, Leonor participated as a cadet, wearing the Gala uniform and taking part in the military parade in the Parade Ground. However, the event was marked by an unexpected incident.

Before the ceremony, the cadets enlivened the wait by singing military songs in the interior hallways of the academy. However, the high temperatures caused many of them to feel unwell and they were removed from training early, possibly due to the excessive heat generated by the historical costumes they were wearing. Sad moment for the future queen as she saw her classmates being removed from the line on her most important day.

Although many parents of the cadets attended, the eldest daughter of Letizia and Felipe VI did not have the presence of her parents, since King Felipe was fulfilling commitments as Monarch in Belgium and Queen Letizia was presiding over another event in Salamanca.

During the day, the delivery of military decorations took place, where the General Military Academy distinguished Princess Leonor with a diploma for her “effort and excellence” in her work. This distinction was added to that of another 10 or 12 students who were also recognized by the academy. Critical Voices Report.

This event marked the return of Princess Leonor to the spotlight, being her first time attending the anniversary of the Military Academy in an official event of this nature since last January 6, when she participated in the Military Easter celebration with her friends.
