Torres Spits In Meghan's Face As Announces She Will Direct A Suits Spin-Off Series

Gina Torres unequivocally rejects Meghan Markle's attempt to reboot "Suits" while The Duchess proposes taking on the role of director for the spin-off series, reportedly commanding a salary of $200,000 per episode.

Torres Spits In Meghan's Face As Announces She Will Direct A Suits Spin-Off Series

The original "Suits" series, which aired from 2011 to 2018, featured Meghan Markle as Rachel Zane in the popular American television legal drama. NBC Universal has greenlit a spin-off titled "Suits: Los Angeles," and Aaron Korsh, who penned the original series, has already scripted six episodes.

Amidst speculation about Meghan's potential involvement, her PR agency hints at a significant salary for each episode, framing the spin-off deal as one of the most significant Hollywood deals of the year. This negotiation, facilitated by talent agency WME, aims to secure the highest possible rate for Meghan's participation.

However, recent statements from original "Suits" cast members Neil Shaw and Gabriel Macht dismiss the possibility of Meghan's participation in a rumored reboot. The actors express reservations about being directed by Meghan, citing her lack of directing experience and potential challenges for the production.

Gina Torres, known for her sharp comebacks, shares reservations about Meghan's role in the series. At a recent event, Gabriel Macht made it clear that he neither likes nor wants to discuss Meghan. Despite Patrick J Adams showing some enthusiasm, overall, there seems to be little support among the cast for Meghan's return. The apparent resentment stems from Meghan's promotion of the show as her own since becoming the Duchess of Sussex, despite it being a collective effort by the cast.

Evidence pointing towards Meghan's exclusion from the spin-off arises from a Super Bowl commercial featuring "Suits" cast members Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman, and Sarah Rafferty. Directed by Zach Woods, the ad, promoting a cosmetic product, conspicuously omits Meghan. This absence fuels speculation that Meghan may not be part of the spin-off.

Moreover, the rumored new version of "Suits" is said to feature all-new characters, and Meghan has not been approached for any cameo appearances, according to statements from the creator emphasizing the exclusion of the Duchess.

In the midst of these developments, Meghan's desire to direct faces skepticism, with one commentator dismissing it as akin to wanting to fly a plane after a single trip. The sentiment suggests that Meghan's aspirations may be perceived as out of touch and disconnected from the reality of the industry. The dynamics surrounding the potential "Suits" reboot continue to unfold, revealing a complex interplay of industry dynamics and interpersonal relationships within the cast.
