The absence of an invitation to WME's Oscar party speaks volumes, clearly indicating they've never been included in any Hollywood gatherings.
Harry and Meghan, notably absent, as Hollywood luminaries gathered for the 96th annual Academy Awards. Renowned celebrities like Margot Robbie, Emma Stone, and Robert Downey Jr. graced the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night for the glamorous award ceremony. Following the award presentation, stars converged at the Vanity Fair Afterparty, with personalities such as Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton captivating attention with bold appearances on the red carpet.
According to the Mirror, the Sussexes snubbed the Oscars after being brutally slammed as Hollywood nobodies last year. There were speculations that the couple would attend to show support for Meghan's photographer friend, Misan Harriman, who received a nomination for his debut writer-director film "The After." However, Misan was ultimately unsuccessful at the Oscars, losing out to W. Anderson's "Henry Sugar." Misan shares a close bond with Meghan, to the extent that the former "Suits" actress even moderated a talk in November to promote his film.
Meghan and Harry's absence from last year's Oscars also earned them the "Mahash" nickname. Author Tom Bow appeared on GB News last year, stating they weren't even invited to Elton John's party at the Oscars. They really are nobodies in Hollywood. The Mirror also reported that Oscar's host Jimmy Kimmel's savage swipe at Harry may have been the reason they opted to skip the Oscars. During their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey that same year, Harry and Meghan made a series of allegations against the royal family as they tried to explain why they chose to step down as senior working members of the monarchy in 2020.
As they made claims of racism and bullying, the couple also spoke about their new life in Montecito, California, and showed Oprah their lavish mansion where they were raising their young family. Many were critical of Harry and Meghan's explosive interview, including Jimmy, who used his show "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to launch into an official rant against the Sussexes.
"My wife put it on, and I was like, wait, rewind that. What did he say? Prince Charles is an animal," he began, as he told the audience that the interview would surely go down in history as the most shocking gender reveal party of all time. He also touched upon the claims Meghan and Harry made as they alleged the senior Royal made a comment about the color of Archie's skin when she was pregnant.
"Imagine, after centuries of inbreeding, all of a sudden those people are concerned about the color of a baby's skin. And by the way, they should hope that the kid looks more like Meghan than Harry. No offense, but I mean, Harry kind of looks like the guy who played Screech. May he rest in peace," he joked.
The comedian then proceeded to slam the couple for choosing to relocate to America after leaving the Royal Family behind in London, after they claimed the media were racist towards Meghan. "You know things are bad at Buckingham Palace if they came to America to get away from racism," Jimmy quipped.
"The Hollywood losers of 2023 always clapping back when it's clear they're not effing invited due to their irrelevancy and bad reputation. Hollywood has a huge diverse pool of proven talent for the Sussexes to compete with, and their snubbing won't draw tears from well-deserving nominees, winners, and legends of the big screen. Evidently, Harry and Meghan are blacklisted in Hollywood. The Harals were snubbed so badly at the Oscars that no one even made a joke about them. Hollywood has forgotten that they exist."
