Prince Harry KICKED Out Of British Book Awards For SPARE After US Govt Claim He Lied In His Memoir At Court

Prince Harry's hopes for a win at the British Book Awards were dashed when his memoir, "Spare," landed him in controversy.

Prince Harry KICKED Out Of British Book Awards For SPARE After US Govt Claim He Lied In His Memoir At Court

Despite the Sussex PR team's efforts to paint it positively, accusing his brother William of shoving him into a dog bowl during a disagreement over Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, the book faced tough competition. Britney Spears' memoir, "The Woman in Me," revealing her tumultuous conservatorship and past relationships, including with Justin Timberlake, was among the contenders.

Also vying for the prestigious award were works by Dragon's Den entrepreneur Steven Bartlett and former Conservative MP Rory Stewart. Harry's book even made it to the non-fiction narrative category, alongside well-known figures like Patrick Stewart and Steve Coogan.

However, amidst speculations that Harry spent a fortune to secure his nomination, he was ultimately disqualified, with some suggesting that his narrative might be more fiction than fact, especially given allegations from the US government that he embellished details to boost sales.

The timing couldn't be worse for Harry and Meghan, whose security concerns have been making headlines. Despite their efforts to secure police protection in the UK, a recent ruling favored a 20120 decision by the executive committee for the protection of royalty and public figures, leaving Harry to contemplate his next legal move.

Lauren Chen of The Blaze TV questioned whether British taxpayers should foot the bill for the couple's security, particularly as they embark on ventures like a Netflix documentary. Chen argued that as celebrities, Harry and Meghan should take responsibility for their security costs, especially since they've distanced themselves from their royal duties.

With ongoing legal battles and scrutiny over their security arrangements, it's clear that the couple's post-royal life isn't without its challenges, both in the literary and security realms.
