The Duke of Sussex is anticipated to return to the UK in May for the event, which he co-founded back in 2014. Festivities are slated to occur at St. Paul's Cathedral. This upcoming trip follows closely on the heels of Harry's swift return to visit his ailing father, prompted by news of his cancer diagnosis.

The Duke of Sussex rushed back to London last week for a brief 25-hour visit upon learning of the Monarch's illness. However, his next visit won't be to see his father again, but rather to celebrate the Invictus Games' 10th anniversary.

Reports indicate that Prince Harry's meeting with his Majesty lasted only 12 minutes earlier last month. Nonetheless, a spokesperson for the Sussexes believes that the anniversary event might provide Prince Harry with another opportunity to mend his relationship with the royal family during this challenging period for the monarchy.

Prince Harry is scheduled to travel back in May to attend the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which he co-founded in 2014. However, Megan Markle's attendance is uncertain, as she is reportedly prohibited from accompanying him and must remain at home with their children.

This news follows the UK government's announcement of a multi-million pound bid to host the games in Birmingham in 2027. John Mara, the Minister for Veterans Affairs, expressed enthusiasm for the bid, stating that it feels like a natural progression to return to the UK.

He emphasized their determination to secure the bid, affirming their commitment to winning it. Speaking to the Express, Mara revealed that Harry has indicated his readiness to support a British-based Invictus Games while acknowledging the ongoing support of the royal family for the games.

A source close to the Palace hinted that Harry's role in the upcoming 10th-anniversary celebration might not be as positive as he anticipated. There are rumors that he will be replaced as Patron, with Mike Tindle being considered for the position. If confirmed, Tindle will assume the role during the anniversary event.

The Invictus Games, an initiative of the Aro Foundation co-founded by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, has been spearheaded by Keith Mills and Edward L. Fox.

A royal expert noted that relying solely on Harry as the face of Invictus has had negative consequences. Criticizing Megan, the expert suggested that having a Paralympian represent the games could be more impactful. Zara and Mike, both former sports personalities, were proposed as potentially more relatable and suitable ambassadors for the charity. The expert expressed concerns that Harry and Megan's involvement could potentially undermine the charity's credibility.
