Sources close to the Sussexes suggest that similar editing faux pas faced by Princess Catherine have exposed the couple to potential backlash. Kensington Palace recently shared an image of Princess Diana with her three children on Mother's Day, leading to accusations of digital manipulation due to numerous misedits.

The Princess publicly apologized for any confusion stemming from alterations to the family photo, yet it appears that such incidents aren't exclusive to her.

Indeed, Meghan and Harry themselves have faced allegations of editing in several of their images. One notable instance occurred with their 2019 Christmas card, featuring a black and white snapshot of baby Archie crawling towards the camera, flanked by his smiling parents.

Meghan was accused of enhancing her face clarity while blurring Harry's face and the background. The Daily Mail even purported evidence of Meghan's face being digitally added onto a body. Associated Press eventually retracted the photo in 2021.

Despite their notable influence, Meghan and Harry's appearance on Time Magazine's cover sparked confusion and criticism due to perceived over-photoshopping. Photographer Pari Dukovic captured the couple against a backdrop of trees, with Meghan in all white and Harry in all black. Social media users commented on the couple's appearance, with some suggesting the images appeared digitally altered.

Harry himself faced scrutiny over a headshot that seemingly portrayed him with a fuller head of hair than reality. Released on his profile page for BetterUp, a mental health startup he joined in 2021, the photo drew attention for its questionable editing. Fans expressed amusement and disbelief on social media platforms.

Following the controversy, Princess Catherine is reportedly feeling distressed and vulnerable. Royal commentator Jenny Bond, who has covered the royal family for years, emphasized the need to refrain from further pressuring the princess, especially given her recent surgery. Bond cautioned against bullying Catherine into releasing more photos, noting her fragile mental and physical state.

She highlighted the impact on Catherine's Mother's Day celebrations and expressed concern for her well-being amidst intense public scrutiny. Bond urged for empathy and understanding towards the princess during her recovery period.
