Meghan Markle may soon find herself under increased scrutiny as new, damning details continue to emerge regarding the accusations of bullying leveled against her during her tenure as a senior working member of the Royal Family.
These accusations, suggesting mistreatment of staff, have been consistently denied by Meghan and Prince Harry since they were initially brought to light by former Communications Secretary, Jason North, in 2018.
Royal author Tombo has hinted that further revelations may surface, although the details of any ongoing investigation remain undisclosed. In an op-ed for Isml Plus, Mr. Bo expressed frustration at the secrecy surrounding the palace's inquiry, remarking that it unfairly burdens both the accusers and the accused. Jason North's recent disclosures have provided a starting point, breaking a silence that has persisted among former Palace staff until now.
However, Mr. Bo emphasized the importance of not pre-judging the matter or assuming the outcome of any investigation. Nevertheless, he lamented the palace's handling of the situation, suggesting that the truth should not have to emerge in such a painful and unsatisfactory manner. His comments come in the wake of an interview with former Palace aide, Samantha Cohen, who confirmed being one of ten staffers questioned about allegations of bullying by Meghan during her time at the palace in 2017.
Cohen, who previously worked for Queen Elizabeth, detailed her experiences in preparing Meghan for royal duties, expressing frustration with what she perceived as Meghan's disregard for certain royal protocols. This clash of cultures, according to Cohen, contributed to her decision to resign in 2018. Reports suggest that Cohen felt her treatment was harsh, likening it to dealing with teenagers, and she ended up staying longer than planned due to difficulties finding a replacement.
Moreover, Prince William allegedly confronted Harry about Meghan's behavior, deeming it unacceptable. This led to tensions between the brothers, exacerbated by the high staff turnover within the palace. Mr. Bo highlighted the resignations of several staffers, including Katrina MAA and Melissa Tuba, both citing intolerably high demands from Meghan.
The allegations of bullying gained renewed attention before the Sussexes' 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, with reports alleging that Meghan had reduced staff members to tears during her time at Kensington Palace. While Meghan reportedly denied these claims, stating it was not her responsibility to coddle staff, the controversy has continued to cast a shadow over her time as a member of the Royal Family.
