Meghan Markle was infuriated when Chrissy Teigen, speaking to an entertainment reporter, disclosed that WME, a talent agency, had paid her to unfollow Marco Jam's Instagram account.

Meghan Markle Fuming As Chrissy Told Entertainment Reporter WME Paid For Her To PR Markle Jam

Meghan, who recently launched her new jam officially sent to Chrissy Teigen on Wednesday, was taken aback by Teigen's fake endorsement of Marco's strawberry jam. This jam marks the debut product of Meghan's newly launched lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Teigen shared her opinion on the jam in a cooking video posted on Instagram, where she indulged in a grilled sandwich featuring the fruity preserves, bacon, and Brie cheese. Describing it as one of the best bites she's had all year, Teigen captioned her post, adding a Rave review and expressing how the simple ingredients brought immense joy throughout the weekend. To recreate the sandwich, she detailed the process of cooking bacon in a skillet, spreading Marco's strawberry jam on bread, topping it with Brie cheese and bacon, then adding another buttered bread slice.

Later that day, Chrissy Teigen and her husband, John Legend, attended the premiere of Netflix's new series, "A Man and Full," where they were questioned about their experience with Marco's jam. Legend praised the sandwich, calling it "incredible" and expressing his desire to have it again, echoing Teigen's sentiment. However, Teigen admitted she might not use it again, citing a sentimental reason — she didn't want to deplete the precious jam, intending to preserve it in her fridge indefinitely.

The conversation around Meghan's jam took a turn when critics pointed out the hypocrisy of Teigen and Legend's endorsement, considering their ties to WME and their previous engagements with the agency's events. Questions arose regarding whether Meghan had paid for the Instagram story or if it was a favor, sparking speculation and criticism.

Teigen's social media behavior further fueled controversy as she posted about the jam without following Meghan's American Riviera Orchard account, a move echoed by John Legend. Abigail Spencer, another acquaintance of Meghan, faced backlash for turning off comments on a post related to the jam, prompting speculation about potential discomfort among celebrities about receiving the jam and being obliged to endorse it.

The selection of Chrissy Teigen as an endorser stirred up further debate, given her history of controversial statements and behavior, which some view as contradictory to Meghan's purported feminist and online safety initiatives. Critics highlight Teigen's past actions, including instances of online bullying and making disturbing remarks, questioning the compatibility of her endorsement with Meghan's values.

The inclusion of Teigen in the promotional campaign has raised skepticism and criticism, with some speculating about Meghan's limited options in choosing endorsers due to strained relationships. Amidst the controversy, humorous suggestions arise about Meghan potentially collaborating with other controversial figures, further adding to the intrigue surrounding the promotion of her jam.
