Amaia Arrieta, who has dressed the royal couple's three children, said she is devastated by the Princess of Wales' diagnosis.
Kate Middleton and Prince William are “going through hell” amid their battle with cancer, said her friend, designer Amaia Arrieta.
Arrieta, who has designed for the royal couple's three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, said she is devastated by the Princess of Wales' diagnosis.
“I'm heartbroken right now, I think they're going through hell, I hope they come back. It is really a personal issue,” declared Amaia Arrieta in an interview for the Telegraph.
In March, Kate Middleton announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer after staying out of the public eye for several months.
“In January I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time my condition was thought to be non-cancerous. The surgery was successful,” Middleton said in an emotional video.
“However, tests carried out after the operation revealed that there was cancer. Therefore, my medical team recommended that I undergo preventive chemotherapy treatment and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
Kate Middleton said the diagnosis has taken her and the Prince of Wales, 41, time to explain to her youngest children. “As I have told you, I am doing well and I am getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal, in my mind, body and spirit,” she added.
The princess also said that having William by her side has given her “a great source of comfort and peace of mind.”
After sharing the heartbreaking news, which put an end to conspiracy rumors surrounding Kate, Middleton is said to have been turning to her parents and siblings for support. "While you certainly don't see them photographed together very often, they are very present in the background," royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight last month. "They are absolutely fundamental."
Earlier this month, William gave an update on how he and his wife and children were doing, saying they were all “doing well.”
