American celebrities have been accused of throwing shade and gaining insight into Meghan Markle's true character.
Moren Callahan, a columnist for the Daily Mail, lambasted Meghan following her recent visit to Nigeria with Prince Harry. Invited by Nigeria's highest-ranking military official, Christopher Muza, the couple spent three days in the country, promoting the Rell Foundation's mental health initiatives for youth and supporting the Invictus Games, which Nigeria joined last year.
During a discussion with GBN America host Nana Aur, Callahan expressed frustration, labeling the trip as a glaring example of fundamental hypocrisy, given Meghan and Harry's portrayal of a positive image amidst ongoing conflicts with the royal family. Callahan also criticized the couple for repeatedly betraying Harry's family on various public platforms. Referring to the Nigeria visit as a "decoy tour," Callahan argued that the three-day excursion only serves to further damage their reputation.
In addition to their overseas trip, Meghan Markle has launched her latest venture, American Riviera Orchard, which has begun selling products ahead of an upcoming Netflix series hosted by Meghan. Callahan discussed this new project with host Nana Aur, highlighting Meghan's absence from the Met Gala despite her friendship with Anna Wintour and a connection with Vogue magazine. Callahan explained, "We recently had the Met Gala, and there were no shortage of starlets on the Red Carpet. One very significant person is missing from that red carpet, and that would be Meghan Markle." Highlighting that Anna Wintour is an avowed monarchist, she claimed that Wintour wouldn't have extended an invitation the "monito" way.
Callahan then recalled a Vogue write-up published ahead of the Met Gala, which appeared to throw shade at Meghan. Callahan told GBN, "Vogue did an incredible write-up right before the Gala of a dinner that Gwyneth Paltrow hosted at a 'monito' estate, so a neighbor of Harry and Meghan. It was a goop collaboration, and among the guest list were Oprah Winfrey and Ted Sandos." She further elaborated, "So here's Meghan attempting to get a little lifestyle brand off the ground, and goop is clearly a model for her.
Oprah, who conducted that very first bombshell interview aired all over the world, and Ted Sandos, who cut those two a check for a reported $100 million and since canceled their docu-series, has given Meghan a juice cooking show. They're on the guest list at Gwyneth P's 'monito' estate, and Meghan Markle is not there." She concluded, "The Vogue write-up had all these little like winks and nods of shade thrown her way. They called 'monito,' you know, quote unquote, 'the American Riviera.' It was all just little daggers shaved in there. It was great, and it's further proof to any doubtful Briton that we here in America see Meghan Markle for exactly who she is."
In recent developments, Hollywood celebrities are now favoring King Charles and Prince William over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, despite the couple's efforts to gain fame in Hollywood with Netflix and Spotify deals. Meghan's ex-friend, Edward Enninful, was seen greeting King Charles at the Sovereign's Creative Industries Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, indicating a shift in alliances. Enninful, who curates Vogue UK, notably snubbed Meghan as he curated his final cover for the fashion bible.
Meghan and Enninful had previously collaborated when she guest-edited a special issue in 2019. However, reports suggest a bitter fallout occurred because Meghan's ideas weren't greenlit by Enninful. Biographer Tom Bower claimed in his biography, "Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors," that Meghan's poor ideas frustrated the British Vogue editor. He also asserted that Meghan was difficult to approach and disagreed on how to promote the special issue.
Fans noticed Meghan's absence from the new issue, which features 40 of the most booked and blessed women on earth. The stars on the cover include Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Jamila Jamil, Gigi Hadid, Naomi Campbell, Victoria Beckham, Cindy Crawford, Jane Fonda, Miley Cyrus, Kate Moss, Lily Collins, Gemma Chan, and Selma Blair.
