Prince Harry is experiencing firsthand the meaning of the phrase "actions have consequences."
During his recent visit to London for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, he found himself without the company of his wife, Meghan Markle. Furthermore, his strained relationship with the royal family left him isolated, as they chose not to engage with him.
According to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who are known to have a close bond with Harry, avoided attending the event due to concerns about causing further division within the family.
Fitzwilliams explained that Beatrice and Eugenie, daughters of Prince Andrew, would not have attended the event at St. Paul's Cathedral without King Charles' approval. He noted that their presence, or lack thereof, would be interpreted as a sign of a split within the royal family. Despite their close relationship with Harry, the princesses would not have participated without consulting the King, as their attendance could have been seen as exacerbating existing tensions.
Reports indicate that Harry feels quite lonely in America, where he resides with Meghan Markle and their two children. Royal expert Phil Dampier suggested that Meghan might be isolating Harry from his friends and family. Dampier mentioned that Harry appears to lack a close group of friends to socialize with, which might be negatively affecting him. He noted that Harry often looks bored and unhappy at social events like Beyoncé and Katy Perry concerts, where he is typically accompanied by corporate associates rather than personal friends.
Dampier's observations align with those of entertainment commentator Mark Boardman, who believes Harry longs for his old life and misses his close friends from London. According to Boardman, Harry's social connections in Hollywood do not compare to the genuine friendships he had in the UK. Harry reportedly feels that his true friends are back in London, and he struggles to find the same sense of camaraderie in the United States.
