Prince William recently returned to Adelaide Cottage with thoughtful gifts for Princess Catherine and their children after an engagement with Armed Forces personnel.
The Prince of Wales completed his first engagement as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, during which he received several presents for his family. William was presented with a tartan wrap scarf for himself and wooden helicopters for their children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as reported by GB News.
Princess Catherine is currently recovering at home in Adelaide Cottage after announcing last month that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy for cancer. Royal fans took to social media to praise the military personnel for their considerate gifts to William's family. One fan commented, "Nice of them to think of our Princess of Wales. Our gallant men in uniform!" Another added, "Such thoughtful gestures."
The Colonel-in-Chief role was handed over to William by King Charles in a special ceremony at the Army Aviation Centre in Middle Wallop, Hampshire. It was previously thought that Prince Harry would assume the role after his father held it for over 32 years. However, Prince Harry stepped down as a working royal in 2020 and moved to Montecito, California, with his wife, Meghan Markle, and subsequently relinquished his military roles.
