Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their wedding anniversary with a child-free dinner in Los Angeles after recently returning from a royal tour without their children.
They dined at an upscale steakhouse in Montecito with their friends Brian and Tracy Robbins. The couple was seen at one of their favorite restaurants in their hometown of Montecito, a high-end steakhouse where a 28-ounce porterhouse steak costs $175, and a side of hash browns is $15.
The couple was joined by Brian Robbins, the head of Paramount, and his wife Tracy, a designer. Over the years, the four friends have grown quite close. Harry and Meghan even accompanied Brian and Tracy to the One Love film premiere in Jamaica this January. Tracy was one of the few recipients of the couple's homemade jam, which was limited to just 10 jars, despite being numbered from 1 to 50. Tracy shared a photo of Meghan's jam, which featured the American Riviera Orchard logo, a reference to the celebrity enclave in California where Harry and Meghan reside in their $12 million home. The label on the jar read "17 of 50."
Last month, Tracy posted a picture of the jam labeled "17 of 50" on Instagram, commenting that it made her breakfast, lunch, and dinner a little sweeter. She thanked Meghan and Harry for the delicious basket, mentioning that she loved the jam so much she was hesitant to share it with anyone. The couple was photographed enjoying their meal with a bottle of red wine on the table while chatting with Brian and Tracy. According to the restaurant's wine list, the cheapest bottle of red wine is $72.
The photo of Harry and Meghan was reportedly taken by either star-struck fans or paparazzi and shared in a text thread. The text read: "Babe, I'm at Lou and Mono, and Harry and Meghan are here. Chris Hemsworth is at Jack's Wife Freda on Lafayette, and Mary-Kate Olsen is at Fleming's. H, Love K, and Austin are at Swan Room. They sat far from them but were so cute, giggling and having a great time talking to each other. Hannah Einbinder from Hack was at Louen in Hudson Yards; she was absolutely the sweetest."
It's curious why a text between two people would list all the celebrities they saw at five different places in one day but only include a picture of Harry and Meghan. Chris Hemsworth and Mary-Kate Olsen were also spotted at different locations, but it was the picture of Harry and Meghan at Louie that made the rounds. This grassroots PR effort seems a bit pathetic, leading to speculation that their security might have snapped the picture from their table.
Meghan celebrated their six-year wedding anniversary on Sunday, also known as a sugar anniversary, due to the traditional gift given for the occasion. This gift symbolizes the sweet story of how the couple fell in love and the richness of their everlasting love. Despite being frequently portrayed as doting parents, Harry and Meghan often seem to be without their children. They've been on date nights in Jamaica and trips to Vancouver without their kids, even missing American Mother's Day with their children to meet with charities and officials at the Texas State Governor's office. This absence raises questions about their parenting, as their children are rarely seen with them. It’s a mystery whether the children are with Meghan's mother, Doria, during these outings.
