Prince Harry recently faced another setback by missing out on the significant family event, Trooping the Colour, last weekend. This absence highlighted his ongoing struggle to cope with the royal family's disapproval.
Since Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepped down from their senior royal positions, they have lost the privilege of being invited to such high-profile events. Trooping the Colour, which marks King Charles' official birthday, was celebrated with great pomp and ceremony. The event saw the presence of Queen Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children, all enjoying the festivities together.
Harry and Meghan were notably absent, missing out on yet another key family gathering. According to royal expert Tom Quinn, this exclusion has deepened Harry's sense of isolation from the royal family.
“For the second year running, Harry and Meghan have not been invited to Trooping the Colour, which coincides with King Charles' official birthday. While this was expected, it still stings,” Quinn told the Mirror.
Quinn elaborated, "The Sussexes desire invitations to these events, even if they ultimately choose not to attend. Missing his old friend, the Duke of Westminster’s recent wedding, and now being excluded from Trooping the Colour, Harry feels the growing burden of royal disapproval."
Harry had hoped that his absence would spur his father and brother to mend their strained relationship. However, this tactic seems to have failed. Quinn noted, "Harry believed that by staying away, he might encourage reconciliation. But those hopes are now distant memories."
As the royal family continues to move forward without Harry and Meghan, it appears the rift between them remains as wide as ever. This latest exclusion serves as a stark reminder of the challenges Harry faces in trying to reconnect with his royal roots.
