Allegedly, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are preparing a backup plan in case Donald Trump wins the upcoming presidential election.

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's SHOCKING Plan B After Being EVICTED from Montecito

Speculations have emerged that they are contemplating an alternative course of action due to Trump's public statements asserting that the Duke would not be granted any exceptional privileges as a resident of the United States. According to sources quoted by New Idea, the Duke and Duchess are highly anxious about the possibility of being expelled from the U.S. Trump's prior threats to revoke the Duke of Sussex's visa upon taking office in November have further fueled their concerns.

An insider close to the Sussex family revealed that the entire family is extremely distressed over the prospect of Donald Trump regaining the presidency and carrying out his promise to deport the Duke. Since stepping down from their royal responsibilities in 2020, the Duke and Duchess have been residing in Montecito, California, along with their two children. However, the Duke is presently involved in legal proceedings regarding his U.S. visa application.

Despite their relocation to the U.S., none of the Duke's relatives hold U.S. citizenship, although the Duchess and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are dual citizens, with the Duchess being a native U.S. citizen. The release of the Duke's memoir "Spare" in January 2023, which included shocking revelations about his drug use, triggered a series of legal challenges. In light of these developments, the Duke and Duchess are reportedly devising a contingency plan to leave the United States with their children if Trump is reelected.

This information was conveyed by a source to New Idea, who also noted that the Duchess finds the idea of moving back to the U.K. unfathomable, primarily due to her lack of popularity there. Many observers and experts believe that the Duchess would likely abandon any plans of returning to the U.K. if it turns out that the Duke had misrepresented his drug use on his visa application. In an interview with Nigel Farage, Trump hinted at the possibility of punitive measures if the Duke was found to have been dishonest about his drug use. Although he did not explicitly state that sending the Duke back to the U.K. was off the table, he emphasized that there would be consequences for any dishonesty.
