Kate Middleton shares rare message about her royal work amid cancer battle

The Princess of Wales expressed her thoughts after receiving an important update from an organization she holds dear. Since 2020, Princess Katherine has served as the joint president of The Scout Association alongside the Duke of Kent, who has been in this role since 1975. In her message, the Princess warmly welcomed Dwayne Fields, the newly appointed UK Chief Scout, who succeeds Bear Grylls in the position.

Dwayne Fields, an explorer and presenter, brings his own inspiring story to the Scouts, and Princess Katherine expressed her enthusiasm for his leadership. "Delighted to welcome Dwayne Fields as the new UK Chief Scout. The Scouts is such an incredible organization, teaching essential skills for life and making a huge difference to young people across the country. Looking forward to working with you," the Princess wrote in her message, which was shared on X (formerly known as Twitter). She signed off the message with the initial "C" as a personal touch.

Princess Kate's involvement with the Scouts goes back several years. Before becoming joint president, she volunteered with a Cub Scout pack while she and Prince William lived in Anglesey, North Wales. Over the years, she has been actively engaged with the organization, participating in various events and visits. In 2016, she joined the Cubs in North Wootton, near King’s Lynn in Norfolk, to mark the centennial celebration of the youth movement. Furthermore, in 2019, she visited the Scouts' headquarters at Gilwell Park in Essex, where she continued to show her support for the values and missions of the organization.

This deep and longstanding commitment to the Scouts highlights Princess Kate’s dedication to youth development, leadership, and education, further reinforcing her role as a key figure in promoting positive opportunities for young people across the United Kingdom.
