Prince Harry Begged Jimmy Fallon to Go with Him to the Clooney Awards but Was Refused

Jimmy Fallon filmed a somewhat awkward Halloween skit with Prince Harry, but what did he do next? He quickly distanced himself from Harry and headed off to the Clooney-hosted Albie Awards as if it were no big deal.

Prince Harry Begged Jimmy Fallon to Go with Him to the Clooney Awards but Was Refused

Fallon didn't even bother to invite Harry as his plus one. It seems even Fallon realized that bringing Harry to a high-profile New York City event might spoil the mood. On September 26th, Harry made a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. By "surprise," we mean he wasn’t invited—he just showed up, grabbed a mic, and acted like he was still relevant. Meanwhile, his New York PR disaster was unfolding, reminding the world once again that his wife seems to have dragged him down to her level.

While Harry was floundering on Fallon’s third-tier talk show, the real action was happening across town at the Albie Awards—a glitzy event hosted by George and Amal Clooney, featuring actual A-listers. Naturally, Fallon was on the guest list, but Harry? Nowhere to be seen.

After the lackluster Halloween bit, Fallon probably said, “Nice try, but I’m off to hang with people who actually get invited to cool stuff.” It’s telling that Harry didn’t score an invite to one of the year’s most exclusive events. Wasn't this the perfect opportunity for him to redeem his public image? You’d think that with his famous charm—the one he supposedly had before marrying Meghan—he could have managed to get in. But no, Harry was left out in the cold. Even more ironic is that the Clooneys were guests at Harry’s wedding, yet they didn’t return the favor by inviting him to their prestigious charity gala. It’s as if the Clooneys didn’t feel obligated to reciprocate, despite Harry inviting these random Hollywood elites to his big day. Now, when it’s their turn, silence.

This could have been Harry's chance to show the world that the fun-loving, charismatic Harry was back—without the so-called "ball and chain." But, he missed the boat. Even if he had been invited, would it have made a difference? His ongoing PR attempts, whatever the objective, are failing miserably. He continues to act like a clown, but now without any redeeming qualities. He has no substantial body of work to justify his antics. He’s just a privileged rich guy married to someone who seems even more entitled, and they both believe they deserve a seat at the table simply for existing. While Harry is out trying to prove he’s still charming, his wife is making sure no one ever takes him seriously again.

As for the Clooneys, let’s not forget how they were once fully aligned with the Sussexes. They attended the wedding, offered their private jet, and even hosted Harry and Meghan at their Italian villa. George Clooney even defended Meghan in the press at one point. But now, it seems they've seen the light, and it only took a few years. Harry didn’t help his cause by casually mentioning the Clooneys' Lake Como home in his memoir Spare, which could be seen as a breach of privacy. And Meghan certainly didn’t win any points when she implied that Amal Clooney was eager to be her best friend. As if Amal—an internationally respected human rights lawyer—needed validation from a former royal whose star is rapidly fading.
