The lunch was an intimate event for fifty people, mostly women, attended by King Willem-Alexander and Máxima along with their three daughters, Princesses Amalia, Alexia and Ariane. As expected, the royal family of the Netherlands traveled especially to be present at the celebration of the 80th birthday of María del Carmen Cerruti, mother of the queen, which took place at the restaurant of the Yacht Club Argentino, in Dársena Norte.

Accompanied by her brothers Martín and Juan, her husband and her daughters, Máxima enjoyed the meeting to the fullest, appearing in more relaxed and familiar scenes, far from the formality of her official commitments. In addition, the Queen took the microphone to dedicate some heartfelt words to her mother and to remember her father, Jorge Zorreguieta, who died in 2017. María del Carmen Cerruti, born on September 8, 1944 in Pergamino, is the daughter of the renowned anesthesiologist Jorge Cerruti, who co-founded a clinic in the city, and María del Carmen Carricart, a housewife. María Pame, as she is affectionately called, graduated from the Colegio Nuestra Señora del Huerto in Pergamino and has beautiful memories of her school days, maintaining ties with her classmates to this day.
During her life in Buenos Aires, while working, María del Carmen met Jorge Zorreguieta, who at that time was married and had three children. Over time, María Pame and Zorreguieta, who was 16 years older than her, fell in love and married in 1970. Together they had four children: Máxima, Martín, Juan and Inés, the latter sadly passing away in 2018.
