Amid statements from royal insiders, it’s suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may be leading increasingly separate lives, with some experts speculating that Meghan might one day cut ties with Harry. Royal biographer Hugo Vickers has pointed out what he sees as a tendency for Meghan to sever ties when they no longer serve her interests. He highlighted her split from her first husband, Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson, and her distancing from former close friend Jessica Mulroney, along with estrangements from her father and various members of the royal family. According to Vickers, “People usually act in character,” suggesting that Meghan’s history of breakups could one day include Harry. “She dumped her father, her first husband, a former Canadian chef boyfriend, Jessica Mulroney, and even the British Royal Family.
