The devastating fires have claimed at least 24 lives and displaced thousands of residents, prompting many stars to step forward with offers of aid. However, Osbourne has cast doubt on the sincerity behind some of these well-publicized efforts. Without naming specific individuals, her pointed remarks appeared to be aimed at high-profile figures, including Jennifer Garner, Eva Longoria, and, perhaps most notably, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have frequently been accused of seeking publicity, were recently photographed at an evacuation center in Pasadena, California. The couple was seen distributing food and posing with fire victims, a gesture Osbourne sharply questioned. "Is it just me being my usual cynical self," she asked, "or is it really disturbing to see these celebrities using other people's pain and suffering as a photo op to say, 'Look at me, I’m helping'? It feels staged, disingenuous, and more about optics than genuine charity."
Osbourne emphasized that true acts of charity should be driven by compassion, not a desire for attention. “Helping should come from the heart,” she declared, “not from a place of seeking applause or Instagram likes.” She criticized what she perceived as a carefully orchestrated appearance by Meghan and Harry, noting that reports suggested they arrived with a camera crew in tow. “No one asked you to show up and hand out hugs,” she remarked caustically. “If your actions are truly altruistic, you don’t need an audience.”

According to Osbourne, if Meghan and Harry’s intentions were purely charitable, they would have opted for discretion. “They could have quietly donated to legitimate organizations working on the frontlines,” she suggested. “No one needed to know about it, and no cameras were required. They could have simply written a check and let the real heroes—the firefighters, volunteers, and relief workers—receive the spotlight.”
