Prince Harry and Meghan Markle DENIED Entry to Oscars 2025 Despite Begging

Oscar season is in full swing, bringing with it the usual red carpet spectacle, heated predictions, and endless speculation about which celebrities will make an appearance at the Academy Awards.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle DENIED Entry to Oscars 2025 Despite Begging

Naturally, the question arises once again—will Meghan Markle and Prince Harry be among the attendees this year? The answer, according to the Daily Mail, is a definitive no. A public relations expert—essentially someone paid to generate talking points—has chimed in with insights on the likelihood of the Sussexes attending the star-studded event. Their take? This would be the perfect year for the couple to show up.

And why is that? Well, conveniently, Meghan’s new Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan, premieres on March 4, just in time to capitalize on the Oscars buzz. There’s also her newly launched lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which boasts a selection of artisanal jams. But let’s pause for a reality check—does anyone seriously believe the Academy Awards, a night dedicated to celebrating the best in film, is the appropriate stage for Meghan and Harry? This is the same couple that has never attended, even last year when Meghan’s close friend, Misan Harriman, was nominated for his short film The After. If they didn’t show up then, why would they suddenly decide to now?

The truth is, the Oscars have nothing to do with them. But for argument’s sake, let’s imagine they somehow secured an invite. Where exactly would they be seated? Most likely in the farthest, least visible section of the venue, where even the cameras wouldn’t bother panning. Hollywood’s attitude toward the couple is clear—they are, at this point, more of a punchline than a sought-after presence. The idea that they would waltz into the Dolby Theatre and take their place alongside legends like Meryl Streep and Leonardo DiCaprio is, frankly, laughable.

Yet PR strategists are still throwing around terms like “career power move” and “redefining the narrative.” Supposedly, the Oscars would be the perfect chance for Meghan to rub elbows with Hollywood’s elite and potentially line up future film roles. The problem? No one in Hollywood seems particularly eager to be associated with them. The Sussexes have become synonymous with controversy, bad press, and, quite frankly, overexposure. Attending the Academy Awards could easily backfire, turning into one of the most embarrassing missteps of their carefully managed public image.

And then there’s Netflix. If they weren’t deemed relevant enough to receive invitations to the SAG Awards—a night filled with their streaming platform colleagues—why would the Oscars be any different? Netflix isn’t exactly pulling strings to get them on the guest list. The hard truth is, the Sussexes don’t have the Hollywood clout to justify an invite.

So, while Meghan might be busy selling jam and launching brands, she and Harry won’t be walking the Oscars red carpet. After five years of trying to find their place in Hollywood, they remain outsiders. The Academy Awards have never been their scene, and this year will be no different. They’re not A-list, they’re barely B-list, and the Oscars have far more pressing matters than accommodating their PR aspirations. The answer, as always, remains a resounding no.
