Meghan Markle Shows Off a Gift from Queen Elizabeth II to Commemorate a Special Day

Meghan Markle has stayed away from social media for years, but with the launch of her new brand of products and her Netflix series, she's made a change and is increasingly sharing more family moments and moments from her daily life. On the occasion of St. Patrick's Day, which originates in Ireland and which the British Royal Family commemorated with an official event attended by Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Sussex got creative and offered Prince Harry and little ones Archie and Lilibet a themed breakfast featuring the typical green color of these celebrations. The nod doesn't end there, as she apparently used a gift from the late Elizabeth II to prepare it.

Just like she did for Valentine's Day, when she cut strawberries into heart shapes and made bagels for her children, Meghan Markle shared a video showing her preparing the waffle batter, shaping them, decorating them, and serving them to the children, whose little hands are only visible. That waffle maker immediately caught everyone's attention, as it may have a connection to Harry's grandmother, who passed away in September 2022.

The Duke of Sussex revealed that he had received the gift from his grandmother during a conversation with James Corden in 2021 while appearing on The Late Show: "My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker," Harry told James, and the doting Queen Elizabeth II kept her promise. "She sent us one for Archie. So, for breakfast, Meg makes a delicious organic mix," she continued, "and Archie loves it," so much so that "he wakes up in the morning and just says, 'Waffle?'"

2025 is proving to be a new departure for Meghan Markle (who in her series claims to be called Sussex, the title Elizabeth II granted to Prince Harry upon his wedding). The Duchess wants to position herself as an influencer and lifestyle advocate, something she already did when she first became known as an actress, and to that end, she's begun sharing part of her universe in California. Her love for details and being the perfect host are the main themes of her new documentary series, With Love, Meghan, which, although it has received strong criticism in the United Kingdom, is still a program focused exclusively on enhancing her image while giving advice on lifestyle, decoration, and gardening. In other words, this time there's nothing the British Royal Family can hold against her.
