When given the choice between Brooklyn Beckham and Meghan Markle as culinary hosts, the public has spoken—loudly. And Brooklyn wins by a landslide.

MEGHAN'S FURY! With Love, Meghan Markle HUMILIATED By Brooklyn Beckham's Cooking Show

Imagine that. A man who has made a career out of dabbling in different fields without mastering any is still considered a more appealing option than Meghan’s latest reinvention attempt. It’s almost poetic. Despite his lack of expertise, Brooklyn is somehow a more palatable choice than Meghan's carefully curated, over-polished approach. The people would rather watch a Beckham nepo baby experiment in the kitchen than sit through Meghan’s culinary performance.

Brooklyn, son of David and Victoria Beckham, has spent his privileged existence hopping from one creative pursuit to another, never quite excelling in any. A brief stint as a model, an even shorter-lived photography career, and now, a self-proclaimed culinary aficionado. And yet, someone still thought it wise to hand him a cooking show. It’s all quite laughable, but somehow, his efforts are more tolerable than Meghan’s calculated attempt to win public favor.

This comparison didn’t arise out of nowhere. A recent article in New York Magazine—which shockingly amassed over 300 comments—was flooded with scathing critiques of Meghan’s show. When a publication that once gushed over her can’t even muster enthusiasm, you know things are bad. One comment, in particular, stood out: "Honestly, I’d rather watch Brooklyn Beckham cook. At least he’s passionate about it and isn’t using it as a PR stunt to make his life seem interesting."

Even with Brooklyn’s spectacular missteps, people don’t seem to mind. He’s harmless. He isn’t trying to prove he’s better than anyone, nor does he exude an air of entitlement that makes audiences roll their eyes. He’s just a wealthy kid experimenting with hobbies, failing publicly, and somehow making it work. Unlike Meghan, Brooklyn doesn’t launch his projects with a self-important attitude, demanding to be taken seriously despite lacking credentials. At least he admits that cooking makes him happy, rather than insisting he’s here to revolutionize the culinary world with uninspired dishes.

One of Brooklyn’s greatest strengths—perhaps his only real strength—is his ability to laugh at himself. When asked about the relentless internet mockery he receives, his response was refreshingly self-aware: “It doesn’t bother me. People can say whatever they want. Cooking makes me happy.” That’s called resilience. Meghan, take notes. Instead of playing the victim every time she faces criticism, Brooklyn shrugs it off and keeps going. Meanwhile, Meghan’s PR team is likely drafting a ten-part documentary about how unfairly she’s been treated by the culinary industry.

The fundamental difference between the two is clear. Brooklyn Beckham was born into fame and has spent his entire life in the public eye. He understands the scrutiny that comes with privilege and doesn’t lash out when people don’t embrace his every endeavor. Meghan, on the other hand, spent most of her career as a Hollywood C-lister and was unprepared for the level of fame she married into. When she finally got her moment in the spotlight, instead of handling it with grace, she turned everything into a grievance-fueled self-promotion tour.

At least Brooklyn, for all his misfires, is still figuring himself out. He’s in his 20s—he has time. Meghan, on the other hand, is in her 40s and still hasn’t found her niche beyond seeking admiration. If she had any real passion beyond social climbing, she would have discovered it by now. Brooklyn’s cooking skills may be questionable, but at least he isn’t trying to convince the world he’s an authority on something he barely understands. Meghan could take a page from his book—just not the photography one.
