And now, he’s pulling Sir Clive Alderton, the King’s secretary, into this mess, implying that his father, King Charles, should somehow influence the legal process. That’s not just a desperate move—it shows a complete lack of understanding of how royal and governmental institutions function. Remarkably, Charles has shown great restraint through all of this, even after being unfairly portrayed in Harry’s memoir as a cold and distant father. That kind of misrepresentation is beyond disappointing.
Harry’s complaints about the legal process really seem to be about an inability to accept consequences. He and Meghan walked away from royal duties and assumed the world would still cater to them. It’s as if they expected to abandon the structure and responsibilities, yet retain all the privileges.

King Charles, despite personal health challenges, continues to fulfill his duties without fanfare. And there’s Harry—suing the government, complaining to the press, and imagining shadowy forces at play simply because he doesn’t receive the same treatment as working royals after stepping down from that role himself.
What stings the most is that Harry truly could have had it all. He had the chance to support meaningful causes, stand by his family, and receive the security he now demands—if only he had chosen a path of service rather than spectacle. Lest we forget, in 2020 he loudly proclaimed a desire for financial independence. He’s since landed a multi-million dollar Netflix deal. So much for stepping back quietly.
Perhaps the most telling image in all of this is that while Harry was in court fighting for publicly funded protection, Catherine was focused on healing, William was continuing royal duties with poise, and King Charles was leading the monarchy as expected.
