Damson Idris recently shared insights into his experience working with Brad Pitt, highlighting the strong connection they formed during the filming of F1 – The Movie. He reflected on their friendship, noting that their off-screen bond closely mirrored the relationship between their characters in the film.
In an interview with People Magazine, Idris described the experience as incredibly smooth and natural. He mentioned how effortlessly they got along on set, often sharing lighthearted moments and laughter between scenes. Pitt would entertain him with stories about his encounters with legendary figures like Prince and Sidney Poitier, which Idris found both surreal and unforgettable.
He recalled how, right after the director called "Cut," the two would return to their seats and break into laughter. Listening to Pitt recount personal stories felt like being in the presence of living history, and Idris described the experience as iconic.
Idris also spoke highly of Pitt’s character and professionalism, calling him a generous and humble actor. He emphasized how supportive Pitt was throughout the production, always encouraging him and fostering a sense of equality between their characters. This support, Idris said, left a lasting impression and deep sense of gratitude.
The film, a sports drama that also features Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, and Tobias Menzies, is set to be released in theaters on June 27.
