Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, made a notable return to public life as she attended the 2025 Trooping the Colour ceremony in London.

Kate Middleton Joins Prince William at Trooping the Colour Following Cancer Remission

Arriving in a car alongside Prince William and their children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—Kate’s appearance marked a significant moment just five months after announcing she was in cancer remission.

Seated in the back between her parents, Prince Louis accompanied the family while George and Charlotte sat in the front. Kate, poised and elegant, wore a refined aqua coatdress by Catherine Walker, complemented by a wide-brimmed hat designed by Juliette Botterill. Adding a personal and sentimental touch, she accessorized with pearl drop earrings that once belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth.

This year’s Trooping the Colour holds special importance as it is the third of King Charles’s reign. For Kate, the event symbolizes a major milestone in her gradual return to royal responsibilities after stepping back to undergo cancer treatment.

In March 2024, she publicly shared her cancer diagnosis, prompting a break from her royal duties to focus on chemotherapy and recovery. By September 2024, she announced the completion of her treatment, and in January 2025, she revealed she was in remission.

Since then, Kate has been steadily resuming her public engagements, with her appearance at the Trooping the Colour parade marking one of her most high-profile returns to date.
