Meghan Markle is facing criticism for what many see as a disorganized and inconsistent branding approach.
The Duchess of Sussex, currently developing her lifestyle brand called As Ever, initially launched the venture under the name American Riviera Orchard. She claimed that the first batch of products sold out within minutes of release following the rebranding.
However, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams expressed skepticism, noting that some believe the sell-out may have been orchestrated. Shortly after the initial launch, Meghan announced a pause to "step back" from the project. Now, she is reportedly preparing to restock and introduce new items, a sequence of events that Fitzwilliams believes signals a lack of a clear and serious business strategy.
Fitzwilliams also commented on Meghan's recent decision to release an unusual "twerking video" in celebration of her daughter Lilibet’s fourth birthday. He suggested that stunts like this could damage her credibility. According to him, if Meghan intends to succeed as a lifestyle influencer, she must be perceived as credible and professional.
