Christopher Bouzy, a close friend of Meghan Markle, has once again come forward to defend her, after previously exposing the orchestrated online attacks aimed at discrediting the Duchess of Sussex.
Bouzy, known for his work in uncovering digital hate campaigns, spoke out in a recent interview with Newsweek, addressing the ongoing harassment directed at Meghan and her family.
He explained that this campaign has been driven by years of baseless and harmful lies circulated online, which have caused significant personal harm. Bouzy called attention to the emotional toll of such persistent targeting, urging people to imagine having their most joyful and vulnerable life moments twisted and weaponized as tools for hatred.
Beyond the personal impact on Meghan, Bouzy warned of a wider societal danger. He stated that when conspiracy theories are allowed to thrive unchecked, they undermine not just facts but the very foundation of shared reality and human decency.
As the founder of Bot Sentinel, a platform that tracks and analyzes harmful online behavior, Bouzy has studied the pattern of targeted abuse Meghan has faced. His findings revealed a network of accounts deliberately created to harass and vilify her.
His work and insights were featured in the Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, which premiered in December 2022, where he shared the evidence of the coordinated smear efforts. In his remarks to Newsweek, Bouzy summed up the gravity of the issue, saying it might be easy to dismiss such extreme narratives if they weren’t so deeply damaging.
