Tom Holland is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood today at just 23 years old. The actor, who has gained worldwide recognition with the role of SpiderMan in the Marvel Universe, has now presented another great Pixar production with Chris Pratt, 'Onward', and has been honest about the darkest face of fame
Turned into a superhero at the age of 20, Tom Holland has been part of some of the most relevant titles of the decade such as 'Avengers: Endgame' and 'SpiderMan: Homecoming', and now the actor is in high demand.
With 'Chaos Walking', 'Cherry' and 'The Devil all the time' pending release and 'Uncharted' about to start shooting, Holland is promoting the latest big film to which he has lent his voice alongside Chris Pratt, Pixar's 'Onward'. During an interview with the LA Times, the young man has been honest about how he has changed his life and his way of approaching fame.
"I think what I've done very well at is that I only live my life in the public eye when I have to. You don't see me in gossip magazines. You never see me on a date with a famous person. When I'm gone I live a very, very normal life at home. The idea of being a movie star is strange to me. I don't feel my identity at all, "acknowledges the actor.
"I do have moments where I panic and think, what's going on with my life? I don't know how to handle any of this. And then I call someone like Chris [Pratt] or my brothers and figure it out. Because the people work a lot harder for a lot less and we have to keep reminding ourselves how lucky we are to be in this position and that means if someone takes a picture of you leaving your house you have to turn the other cheek and give realize that it is a privilege and not a burden.
His partner and mentor Chris Pratt, with whom he also coincides in 'Avengers: Infinity War'
"I think he's dealing with stardom really well, actually. I've had a lot of steps up to get to where I am. But for him to get to that level so quickly has to be tough."
