The mask of Zorro
Being a good swordsman was important to her role in the movie, much more so if she could stand tall and make it believable. All the comedy situations, in some way, had to do with the character of Zorro and Elena (Zeta-Jones). The moment when these two fight with their swords in one of the cavalries, was not only intense and fun.
The terminal
Her role as a flight attendant seemed to be like so many others, and her overall look was not favorable. Many viewers wanted to see her break up with Victor (Tom Hanks), but the sad thing about her job is that she leads a very busy life, so much so that some in her position can't find the courage to put down roots with just one person.
Ocean's Twelve
In that installment we saw that her character was still hurt by what happened in Ocean's Eleven. However, when she goes up against them directly, it all comes down to who can execute the best contract and how committed she is to their respective roles.
The Haunting
Theo is the material girl who seems to have no brains, except for talking about fads and superficial matters. Of course, that makes her charming with men who don't bother with what little substance she has. The slightly bland character of hers tries to pique Eleanor's interest, only to realize she's not interested at all.
Chicago
It's one of those movies where you need to be inside the genre to understand and appreciate it. The characters are well-developed and the plot is easy to follow, but if you like her singing and dancing, you might not be motivated to watch it even once. She would no doubt be missing out on a great show. Her role as Velma Kelly has been hard to top, even for herself.
