Actor Chris Evans has become a trend on social networks after some photos of the artist with actress Alba Baptista holding hands while walking through New York went viral.
According to the magazine, the couple has been secretly dating for more than a year. "They are very serious. They are in love and Chris has never been so happy. His family and friends adore her," a source told the outlet.
So far, Chris Evans, 41, nor the Portuguese actress Alba Baptista, 25, have confirmed or denied this news, nor have they commented on it. It should be noted that the popular "Captain America" confessed that he dreams of starting a family.
"It is something that of course I want: a wife, children, to start a family... When you read about great artists, for the majority -whether they were actors, painters, or writers- it was not the work they had done that was their greatest pride, but their relationships, the families they created, the love they found and shared. "If you told a high school, Chris Evans, that one day he would be named People's handsome Man Alive, he'd be excited!" the Hollywood star told the magazine in the cover story of this week's issue, in which the announcement was made.
The publication assured that Evans, 41, is still adjusting to the new title and will have to talk about it, but he knows that this news will delight at least one person: "My mom will be very happy," he says. "She's proud of everything I do, but this is something she can brag about," he added.
"It's hard to get interviewed about all this," he says with a laugh. "He feels like a strange form of humble swagger," says the Boston-born star, who advances that he is already preparing for the pranks he will be the butt of some friends.
Every year, since 1985, the North American magazine chooses what it calls the handsome man on the planet, a title that has previously been awarded to singer Paul Rudd, John Legend, and actors Michael B. Jordan, Denzel Washington, or Idris Elba, among others.
