Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn take their love wherever they go, and they don't hide when it comes to giving each other affection. At the correspondents' dinner hosted by Barack Obama, the couple lavished themselves with kisses and gestures of affection, and the actress spent a good part of the evening sitting on her boyfriend's lap.
A large number of familiar faces gathered at the White House last Saturday for the annual Correspondents' Dinner hosted by US President Barack Obama. Among them, are Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn, whose romance is going from strength to strength.
According to US Weekly sources, the couple was more than affectionate during the night and starred in the occasional "intense" kissing scene that took place "just as the main course was served."
Later, the guests went out to the gardens and there "Scarlett was groping Sean, sitting on her lap while he smoked." "Then they moved away from the group a few meters and kissed a little more," continues this source.
The rest of the night, including the party hosted by Vanity Fair, was somewhat quieter. The two stayed together and left hand in hand before 3 a.m., at which point Sean "took her jacket off, put it around her shoulders and said, 'It's cold outside.'"
But not only his expressions of affection drew the attention of other attendees. Sean Penn turned heads when he refused to put his hand to his chest as guests rose to sing the American anthem, as the New York Post reports.
