The idol of Guamuchil knew that this tape was not for him, because the plot did not convince him.
Although he did not study acting, Pedro Infante is one of the great stars of the Golden Cinema, who, thanks to his discipline and passion for the seventh art, managed to establish himself.
It was precisely this taste for cinema that allowed him to be very successful when selecting the films in which he would participate, even as an extra.
For this reason, it is said that the idol of Guamuchil analyzed the plot of the more than 60 films that he filmed.
However, on one occasion, the singer of "A love story" agreed to carry out a job that he was not entirely convinced of.
The tape, in which Pedro Infante participated, was called "Pablo and Carolina". Because Sinaloan never felt comfortable with the character, he tried to motivate himself to record by seeing each scene as a challenge that he had to overcome.
According to what his first wife, Maria Luisa Leon, commented in the book he wrote about their marriage, "Pedro Infante in I- with me", what was most difficult for the protagonist of "We the poor" was that he did not feel about his character.
However, he did not want to leave the project, since it did not seem professional to him, mainly because he had agreed to work on the advice of his attorney, Antonio Matouk.
"I'm not very comfortable with the plot... the character doesn't think I'm very sorry... but you have to get ahead," said the interpreter of "Amorcito Corazon", a song that belongs to the catalog of Discos Orfeon, from the Grupo Formula family.
What is "Pablo and Carolina" about?
The plot of said the color film portrays the story of a wealthy woman, Carolina Sirol (Irasema Dilián), who hopes one day to meet her ideal love, who in her imagination is named Pablo Garza (Infante).
What she doesn't know is that her lover exists, and she lives in Monterrey. After many entanglements, the protagonists manage to be together and live an idyllic romance.
It is worth mentioning that "Pablo y Carolina" was the first of the last three color films in which the famous and unforgettable actor starred.
It was directed by Mauricio de la Serna -who was also the director of "The ladies Vivanco" and "Que bonito amor"-.
