Billie Eilish said that she thought about taking her own life
The life of celebrities is not easy, especially when they enter the world of fame at a very young age. Billie Eilish has become the revelation star of the moment and her songs are heard all over the world. The young woman is nominated for six Grammy Awards and each and every one of the singles she releases is a success in record time. It seems that Billie is living the dream of every singer, but the truth is that until relatively recently her life was a nightmare.
In a recent interview with Gayle King, from The Gayle King Grammy Special, the star shared some of the darkest parts of her life. Although it is known worldwide that Eilish has suffered from self-harm, anxiety, and depression, and her songs are a biography of some of the hardest moments of her life, there were several things that the singer still kept to herself that finally dared to tell.
“I never thought that she would be happy again. I don't want to be too dark, but there was a time when I didn't think she would make it to 17 years old, ”Eilish begins saying during the interview. “Didn't you think you'd make it to 17? But did you think you were going to do something to yourself?” Gayle King asks in surprise, to which she responds with a heartfelt 'Yes'.
Then, Billie looks back and remembers an episode in her life that occurred while she was in Berlin. One of the moments in which her suicide crossed her mind: “I remember that there was a window in my hotel room. And I... God. I remember crying while thinking that the way I was going to die was by doing it by my own hand", he confesses, adding later that the verse 'I want to end me' (I want to end me) from his single 'Bury a friend' really speaks of the thoughts that have crossed your mind more than once. “I was unhappy last year. I was very unhappy and I was very sad, ”she adds.
Now, Billie has been improving little by little thanks to her large community of fans, who are not only her biggest support, but also she can share her thoughts and problems with them, meeting many people who share her worries and problems and creating an emotional bond with them. Eilish not only cares about continuing to improve but also wants his fans to do the same: “I grab them by the shoulders and say: 'Please take care of yourself, be good and kind to yourself. Do not take that extra step that will cause you to hurt yourself more and you will never be able to go back ”, concludes the star.
