A farewell telephone conversation in which tears were not lacking
Chelsy Davy is, so far, the woman who has spent the most time together with Prince Harry. As reported in the magazine, the ex-boyfriends had a final conversation a week before the actual link. According to an aide who asked not to be named, Chelsea contacted the prince by phone after receiving the invitation to the ceremony at St. George's Chapel.
"It was their last call, a farewell in which they both acknowledged that Harry had turned the page," the source revealed, "Chelsy was so emotional about the situation that it brought her to tears and she almost didn't make it to the wedding. Social media users were quick to comment on Davy's somber appearance during the marriage ceremony, with some joking that her expression was synonymous with "that should have been me."
In 2016, Davy admitted to The Times newspaper that it had been very difficult for her to withstand the intense scrutiny of the media during her courtship with the prince.

The South Africans also confessed that being with a member of royalty is not as easy as it seems.
"I don't know, but I think there are people who do it better than others," and she added that Harry and they will always be good friends.
The couple had an on-off relationship from 2004 to 2011.
During their seven-year romance, the businesswoman met Queen Elizabeth II and attended Prince Charles' 60th birthday and the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Many even went so far as to speculate that she would eventually become Harry's wife.
However, a blind date led to the prince meeting Meghan Markle, the woman who would effectively become his wife.
In November 2017, shortly after announcing his engagement to the Suits star, Harry told the BBC that he quickly fell in love with the American after being introduced by a mutual friend.
"I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the room and saw her," recalled the grandson of Elizabeth II. "I told myself, I'm going to have to do my best."
That meeting led to a five-day trip to Botswana, where the couple got to know each other better.
"The fact that I fell in love with Meghan so quickly was confirmation to me that the stars were aligned," he said, "This beautiful woman tripped and fell in my life and I in hers. I know she will be incredibly successful in the work side of all of this, too."
