Hugh Hefner saw the film and made a proposal that Robbie did not hesitate to reject.
Australian actress Margot Robbie has proven that she is more than just a pretty face and has become one of the most talented and admired stars in Hollywood.
Robbie rose to fame thanks to her breakout role as Naomi Lapaglia in The Wolf of Wall Street. However, her performance in that film caught the attention of the creator of Playboy magazine, Hugh Hefner, who made her a risqué proposal that Robbie did not hesitate to reject.
Before filming The Wolf of Wall Street, Robbie knew that her character would have some risqué scenes in which she would appear without any clothes on. For the Australian actress, this situation was so "intimidating" that she had to take a drink of tequila before filming to calm her nerves.
Despite how difficult it was to film those scenes, Robbie felt that her N- was necessary to correctly portray Naomi, a woman whose "body is her only bargaining chip" in the world the film portrays.
As soon as Hefner saw the scene where Robbie appears without any clothes on, he wanted her to appear in Playboy. Not knowing her name, Hefner wanted Robbie to pose for his magazine. "She should be in Playboy! Send her a message!" Hefner asked her team.
However, Hefner didn't even take the time to find out Robbie's name when he sent him her proposal. The Australian actress, for her part, had her own reasons for rejecting Hefner's risqué proposal.
According to her account Robbie, at that time felt that she had "put her family through enough" with her plays scenes of her in The Wolf of Wall Street. Because of this, the actress clarified that there would be no collaboration with Playboy or with any adult magazine since she did not need that for her career, which was already on the rise.
