A supportive and generous Brad Pitt let John, a then-90-year-old man from whom he bought his Los Angeles home, continue to live in it without paying for 15 years.
This has been pointed out by the interpreter Cassandra Peterson, then a neighbor of the protagonist of 'Meet Joe Black', who has assured that the old man "lived to be 105 years old".
We recently learned that Brad Pitt had found a buyer for the luxurious mansion that he had owned for almost three decades in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles (California). An exclusive house that in 1994 he bought from Cassandra Peterson for 1.7 million dollars, which he has now sold for 40, and in which he raised her six children with Angelina Jolie until she separated in 2016.
Then, the 'Bullet Train' actor dedicated himself to acquiring several properties adjacent to the area and, now, thanks to the star of 'Elvira: Mistress of the Dark', we have learned of the enormous gesture of solidarity that the interpreter had in his day with one of his neighbors.
"I think there were about 22 houses that were contiguous to the edge of the property. And every time he could he bought one," the actress, who was a neighbor of the protagonist of 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith 'for years since, after selling his home to her, she bought one of the houses nearby, exclusively from People.
Apparently, one of these houses that she mentions belonged to a man than 90 years old who had lost his wife. However, the American showed the most generous side of him and, even though he bought it from him, he let him live in it for free.
"It was kind of funny because John lived to be 105," explains Peterson, who quips, "I guess Brad was thinking well, you know, he can live there until he dies, which could be anytime."
Additionally, Cassandra describes Brad Pitt as "kind and sweet" to her during the years they shared a neighborhood.
