Todd Phillips has shared on his Instagram account two new photos about 'Joker 2' in which Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix appear as the main character and Harley Quinn announces that the filming of the film has finished.
Since the first images of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn with her classic suit and makeup in 'Joker 2' came to light, we have not had any recent news about the long-awaited sequel to the 2019 film that this time will bring the singer together on screen with Joaquin Phoenix.
Now, Todd Phillips, who repeats behind the cameras after the first installment, has announced that filming has come to an end, opening the way to the always arduous post-production process.
"And cut. Thanks to those two (and the entire cast) and the BEST crew the film industry has to offer. From the first to the last. I'm going to lock myself in the cave now (the editing room) and put it all together ", says Todd Phillips in the publication that he has made on his Instagram account.
In the images we see Phoenix and Gaga in the shoes of the Joker and Harley Quinn and, although at the moment they do not give us new information, the truth is that the desire to see 'Joker: Folie à Deux' on the big screen increases even more. which is expected to hit theaters on October 4, 2024. Although there is still a year and a half left, surely the trailers and posters that are to come will make the wait more bearable.
At the moment, little else is known about the film, except that it will have musical elements and will focus on the romance between Harley Quinn and the Joker inside Arkham Asylum, with a cast that includes Zazie Beetz, Brendon Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Jacob Lofland.
