Kendall Jenner defended herself after being accused of showing falsehood and contempt towards Gigi Hadid at this year's Met Gala.
The allegation against the 27-year-old model came after she was spotted shaking hands with Gigi, 28, on the red carpet at the event organized in New York on Monday (1st). A short video that has already been viewed more than 5 million times on Twitter shows the moment when the two smile and clap for each other, while the top model daughter of Yolanda Hadid shouts something, excited. Then, Kendall turns her back to her professional colleague, stops smiling, and runs her tongue over her teeth.
Some Twitter users, however, came to the defense of the Kardashian-Jenner clan member. "It looks like they're gossiping about nothing. They're good friends," said one, while a second pointed out that the model had made that expression because she probably wanted to "make sure there's no lipstick on her teeth."
Another person said: "The mean girl image you guys are trying so hard to portray Kendall is way too forced. A lot of people who aren't even fans of Herders have had enough of your accusations and are even defending Kendall now. You all are just haters".
"I really don't know why people are so quick to judge and come straight to conclusions. You don't know these people!" the fan added.
These last comments caught the attention of Kendall herself, who took a discreet stance on the controversy: liking the tweets in her defense.
