Khloé Kardashian has decided to open her heart about the arrival of her second baby, which she shares with her ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson.
The 37-year-old businesswoman addressed the issue in the first episode of the third season of the reality show that she stars alongside her famous family. She confessed that she had a hard time connecting with her son because he came from a surrogate. “I felt very guilty that a woman had given birth to my baby,” she said of her feelings upon arriving at the maternity ward. “I took the baby and went into another room; you kind of separate yourself [from the other woman]. It's such a transactional experience because it's not about him.”
“I wish someone would be honest about surrogacy and the differences in it. It's still great [a process], but it's just very different," added Koko, who also finally confirmed the child's name: Tatum.
Elsewhere on 'The Kardashians, Khloé talked about this experience with her ex-brother-in-law, Scott Disick, and her older sister, Kim Kardashian, whose two youngest children also came from a surrogate.
When Disick asked if she felt less connected to Tatum than she did to her five-year-old daughter with Tristan Thompson, True, the Good American co-founder nodded.
Khloe also faced a roller coaster of emotions before the arrival of her youngest, who was born in July 2022. This is because, in mid-2021, it was revealed that Tristan had cheated on the socialite with model Maralee Nichols, who ended up getting pregnant with the player in Canadian basketball.
After being confirmed as the father of Maralee's child, the athlete said in a statement: Khloé, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the hurt and humiliation I've caused you. You don't deserve the way I've treated you over the years."
Tristan had already cheated on KoKo in 2018 when their first daughter was born. After reconciling that first affair, the basketball player still had an affair with Jordyn Woods, Kylie Jenner's former best friend – who is Khloé's younger sister.
Last week, however, KoKo claimed that her "yo-yo" relationship with Tristan was really over, and criticized fans who stir up rumors that she has gotten back together with her ex once again. "Stop forcing this narrative. It's exhausting. But I assume you'll continue the narrative you want no matter what I say, so what's the point?" she wrote on Instagram. "It's exhausting, but I've learned that people will only understand at the level of their own perception. Most get stuck believing the lies because it's the narrative they want to feed off of."
