Matt Damon hated filming romantic scenes with Angelina Jolie

The actors were selected to star in a movie with risqué scenes, but there was a problem.

Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon are two of the most popular faces in Hollywood, since between them they add a large number of successful productions that allowed the rise of these characters in the film industry.

In 2006, the actors were cast to star in The Good Shepherd, a spy action drama directed by and starring Robert De Niro.

"Unobtrusive, idealistic, and intensely loyal, Edward Wilson discovers that serving in the OSS and later as a founding member of the Central Intelligence Agency is the perfect career path for a man of his talents," the synopsis reads.

The character of Edward was played by Matt Damon while Angelina Jolie gave life to the protagonist's wife, Margaret 'Clover' Russell. For this reason, both actors had to shoot romantic scenes and Damon was the least enthusiastic about the idea.

"Doing a romantic scene with the girlfriend of a good friend of yours is very rare. We all know each other," the actor said in an interview.

At that time, Angelina Jolie was taking the first steps in her relationship with Brad Pitt, who formed a great relationship with Damon after making contact during the filming of The Big Swindle movies.

However, the protagonist of Maleficent pointed out that Pitt did not show opposition to the scenes taking place and even wished them both luck.

"The reality is that we are both with people who do not give importance to this because they know us. And the difference between kissing Matt and kissing Brad is very simple, one is my friend and the other my boyfriend," said the actress.
