Priyanka Chopra said, "Boys from school followed me home,"
Actress Priyanka Chopra, 40, has revealed that she was so popular with boys during her teenage years in India that her dad even installed large ones in her bedroom window.
Participating in The Howard Stern Show, Priyanka spoke of the shock experienced by her father, doctor Ashok, who died in 2013, when she returned to India at the age of 16 after living for four years in the United States with her aunt.
"When I got back to India and I was in a small town and I was showing off like I did at the American high school I went to, then I had a bunch of boys that followed me home," said the actress, who is married to musician Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers.
"One day, one of the boys jumped onto my porch. That's why my father installed bars, confiscated all my jeans, and forced me to wear Indian suits," continued Priyanka. "I had a driver take me everywhere, he was terrified. I understand, but then my career happened."
Soon after returning to India, Priyanka began her career as a model, becoming Miss India and Miss World in 2000, at the age of 18. The star then launched her acting career, first in Bollywood in 2002, then in the US in 2015, starring in the crime series 'Quantico'.
