The real reason for the death of Raquel Welch

On February 15 we learned the sad news that Raquel Welch, remembered for movies like 'One Million Years B.C.' or 'Fantastic Voyage', passed away at the age of 82.

As reported by the magazine, the American actress died from "a brief illness" of which no further details were given. However, new information has now been revealed about Welch's health days before her death.

Thus, according to the death certificate obtained by ET, her official cause of death was cardiac arrest. However, the 82-year-old interpreter also suffered from Alzheimer's, something that had not been revealed so far.

The certificate also reveals that Welch died in her own home around half past two in the morning and that she was cremated days later.

On the same day of death, Steve Sauer, the star's representative, told ET the following words in an official statement: "The legendary explosive film, television, and theater actress passed away peacefully at dawn after a brief illness."

Her acting career began with Elvis Presley in the movie 'Roustabout' and after years of working in the film industry.

The actress will always be remembered for her work in 'Lady in Cement' (1968), alongside Frank Sinatra and for appearing in the popular westerns 'Hannie Caulder' (1971) and 'Fathom' (1967).
