Beloved actor Richard Gere was admitted to a hospital in Mexico over the weekend where he was on a family vacation. Now his wife Alejandra Gere has told him how he evolves ensuring that he feels better.
American actor Richard Gere, 73, is already feeling better, his wife, Galician Alejandra Gere, said Tuesday after being hospitalized in an emergency last weekend for pneumonia in the Mexican resort of Nuevo Vallarta, state from Nayarit (west).
"Richard feels much better, we all feel much better, 'almost' back to normal," the woman said in a message on the social network Instagram.
Gere's wife published a photograph where they can be seen walking on the beach, with Richard carrying one of his children on his shoulders and Alejandra with another of the minors by her hand.
The couple visited the aforementioned Mexican beach to spend the holidays and celebrate Alejandra's 40th birthday, but a severe cough was complicated.
After a medical consultation, he was diagnosed with pneumonia, for which he was admitted to the local 'The Jewel' hospital, where he spent 24 hours under observation.
"We want to thank Dr. Ríos and The Jewel Hospital. We came to Mexico to continue our conservation project south of Puerto Vallarta, we all came sick from New York," he commented.
The wife of the protagonist of 'Pretty Woman' also thanked the messages of support for the American actor and assured that the family is almost recovered.
"Now we are all fine and almost recovered. Thank you all for your messages! Richard wanted me to post a second photo to show you that he feels much better," Alejandra jokes with a vintage posed shirtless actor.
