Alexandra Daddario surprised her fans with an intriguing photo on Instagram, leaving them puzzled.
The talented actress often shares exclusive behind-the-scenes pictures and updates related to her work on her Instagram account. Alexandra expressed her disconnection with certain items, including clothing, shoes, and jewelry. While most of her fans praised her honesty, some expressed worry about her well-being.
In her caption alongside the photo, she wrote: "Night shoot day off, all dressed up. I put on a hat and a color-coordinated mask to match my outfit. It's been weeks since I last wore shoes, except for work. I don't even know why I still own pants or jewelry. I found a pair of jeans in my luggage and couldn't recognize them at first. I decided to put them on, and honestly, why did we ever wear those things in the first place?"
Alexandra Daddario Reflects on How 'True Detective' Transformed Her Career
Alexandra Daddario acknowledges that her involvement in "True Detective" had a significant impact on her career.
In the first season of the HBO drama, Daddario portrayed Lisa Tragnetti, a court reporter entangled with Martin Hart, played by Woody Harrelson. At the time, Daddario had already secured several job opportunities, but her role in "True Detective" opened doors to even more prospects, greatly enhancing her reputation within the industry.
During a recent interview with The Collider in July, Daddario looked back on her experience working on the show and expressed her surprise at the overwhelming reception she received during her brief appearance.
"The most significant successes in my career were either unexpected or completely unforeseen," Daddario admitted. "And the most impactful roles I've landed were ones I never thought I would secure."
"I try not to have excessive expectations or put too much pressure on things, regardless of my knowledge and understanding of the industry. Take 'True Detective,' for example, we'll delve into that. I had no inkling of what would transpire from that opportunity."
She continued, "I don't even think I was invited to the premiere. I didn't attend it, and it turned out to be a major turning point in my career. Life is unpredictable, so I strive to give my best in whatever I choose to pursue, without knowing the outcome."
Daddario previously described her decision to join "True Detective" as a strategic move, shedding light on her intentions at the time:
"It was a strategic decision. When I auditioned, they seemed mildly interested, although it was for a different role. I thought to myself, 'Well, they seem vaguely interested, and I adore these actors and Cary Fukunaga. I want to be a part of this show, so let me convince them to hire me.' [Laughs] I believed that having something on my resume that showcased my versatility would be beneficial. I wanted to demonstrate to Hollywood that I could do something different."
After taking on the role and gaining recognition for it, Daddario received a phone call from her manager.
"That episode aired, and I'll never forget the moment. I was sitting on my boyfriend's couch when my manager called me the morning after the episode aired. She said, 'The phone has been ringing non-stop all morning. It won't stop!' " Daddario recalled. "Suddenly, everyone in town wanted to meet with me, and then I landed 'San Andreas'."
